Chapter 4: Damnable Desires
Lili the Demoness wakes up from her usual recharging "rendezvous" where she is met by Grace's boyfriend, Levi. Confused about it, Lili is unable to get a "psychic read" on this person as she is able to with all other humans. She is puzzled and questions if she is losing her abilities. Lili consoles with the demon Lamia on the matter who has been living in the shadows of the human plane of existence for thousands of years.
As luck would have it, Lili's action has not gone unnoticed by Detective Erin Mallory of the local police force. Who just so happens to be investigating the death of an elderly inmate.
